01 / The case
A plant's maintenance, production and purchasing, in one system.
- Context
- Crickets CMMS is the internal platform of a plantain-chip manufacturer. In a plant like this, each machine's availability determines what can be produced, and maintenance depends on having the right spare parts and suppliers on time.
- Challenge
- The operation needed to bring control of assets, maintenance, spare parts, suppliers and production into one place. Without a shared view, it is hard to anticipate failures, plan downtime or know how efficiently the line is running.
- Approach
- We built a CMMS — a computerized maintenance management system — with authentication and operational modules connected to a single database. The main dashboard brings the key indicators together, including OEE, which combines availability, performance and quality, so the team can see the state of the plant before drilling into the detail.
What we built
- Dashboard with key indicators, OEE and alerts.
- Machine and asset management.
- Maintenance scheduling and tracking.
- Production control with history.
- Inventory, purchase orders and suppliers.
- Authentication, database and file storage on Supabase.
Integrations
- Supabase (database, authentication and storage)
What it makes possible
Maintenance, production and purchasing work from the same information: which machine needs attention, which maintenance is coming up, which parts are in stock and how production is performing. It's the kind of internal tool a business needs once its operation no longer fits in spreadsheets.
